Protecting and improving the long-term health of the lake remains a priority for our community. Several important initiatives are currently being explored and updated to help guide future environmental stewardship, water quality management, and shoreline preservation efforts.
As information becomes available, this section will be updated with project details, timelines, community involvement opportunities, and progress updates.
Planned Initiatives
Update Lake Capacity Study
A review and update of the existing lake capacity study is being considered to better understand current environmental conditions, shoreline development impacts, and the lake’s ability to support sustainable recreational and residential use.
Update Lake Plan
The lake plan will be reviewed and updated to reflect current priorities, environmental concerns, and long-term goals for protecting water quality, wildlife habitat, and the overall health of the lake ecosystem.
Pursue Phragmites Removal Grant
Efforts are underway to investigate potential grant opportunities that could support the removal and management of invasive phragmites. Controlling invasive species is an important step toward preserving native shoreline vegetation and maintaining healthy aquatic habitats.
Stay Informed
Additional information, supporting documents, and opportunities for community participation will be shared as these initiatives progress.
