Our Board of Directors
-

Nick Evans, President
Nick and his family have enjoyed Gull Lake cottage life since 2004. Having grown up in the area spending summers at Onondaga Camp, he brings a deep familiarity with Minden and the Highlands. Each summer finds Nick tackling a never-ending list of cottage projects—learning plenty about plumbing, electrical, and carpentry along the way (including a few lessons on how not to do things).
Nick also served as Treasurer of the Gull Lake Cottagers’ Association from 2013 to 2019.
When he’s not working on the cottage, Nick is making the most of lake life—waterskiing, cycling, and spending as much time as possible enjoying friends and family all summer long.

Jamie Macintosh, Treasurer
Jamie joined the Board in 2025.
Jamie was introduced to Gull Lake as a Kilcoo camper in 1969 and remained until 1983 as a staff member. In 2018, Jamie and his wife Ingrid, bought on Rackety Trail coming home to lake he loves. They live next door to Lisa Bagshaw, their co-host for the Annual September long weekend concert on the water. Jamie and Ingrid enjoy Gull Lake year-round with their four grown children.
-

Judy Ingram, Membership
Judy joined the GLCA Board in 2015, serving as Membership director. Since that time, she’s dabbled in almost all the Board positions. She would love to answer any questions you might have with respect to where you can help out!
Judy was introduced to Gull Lake in 1984, when she met her husband Tom, who had purchased property on the lake. They built their cottage in 1992, and have been enjoying winters and summers on Gull Lake ever since. Retirement has enabled Judy and Tom to spend even more time at the cottage.
-

Tammy & Dave Rea, Lake Stewards
Tammy and David Rea are taking over the role of Lake Steward in 2024. They think it will take 2 people to replace Mike Thorne!
David Rea has been spending his summers on Gull Lake for 70 years. Starting in Sandy Bay and then Rackety Trail. Tammy and David married and built their own place in Miners’ Bay.
Tammy and David are now full-time residents. They both see that the quality of the water is the foundation for family, friends, swimming, docking and boating. Now with our grandchildren being the 5th generation of Reas on Gull Lake, we want it to be here for 50 more.
-

Caitlin Treadgold, Regatta
Caitlin’s roots on Gull Lake run deep, going back three generations, when the original family cottage was built in 1922. With her great grandfather as one of the founding professors of the University of Toronto Survey Camp, and her father, Bill, as a Regatta Commodore nearly two decades ago, Caitlin is thrilled to be joining the Board of Directors as Commodore and continuing her family’s values of building connections and fostering memories on Gull Lake.
Fuelled by coffee and a good to-do list, Caitlin is a Special Education Resource Teacher in the Durham District School Board and is raising two young kids with her husband, Sean. She is excited to continue to honour the traditions of the Regatta while growing it in ways that are meaningful to families for years to come.
-

Lisa Bagshaw, Merchandise
Lisa joined the Board in 2021 as Director at Large and brought her energy and creativity to the Merchandise role in 2023. Whether it's summer or winter, you'll find Lisa soaking up cottage life on Gull Lake - the SUP, swimming, walks with the dogs and perfecting the dock playlist are just a few of her favourite things. She's always up for a good laugh, a lakeside adventure and making memories with family and friends.
-

Sue Evans, Communications & Technology
Sue and her family have been part of the Gull Lake community since purchasing their cottage in 2004—and over the years, both the lake and the people have truly captured their hearts. Like many cottagers, Sue has picked up a few unexpected skills along the way: learning the electrical code, discovering the joy of DeWalt power tools, priming a pump, and navigating the annual winter ritual involving antifreeze.
When she’s not tackling cottage projects, Sue is usually enjoying everything the lake has to offer. She loves swimming, waterskiing, and cycling, and most mornings you’ll find her out for a walk with her golden retriever, Revy, happily soaking in lake life.
-

Beth Allison, Secretary
Beth became our Secretary in 2021.
Beth originally came to Gull Lake in the 1980’s to visit the Allison Family, then renting in Miners’ Bay. After marrying Bruce Allison and moving out to Vancouver, Beth and Bruce purchased a cottage on Lackies Lane along with brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and May Allison in 2002. In 2015 Mark and May moved back down to Miners’ Bay and Beth and Bruce assumed full ownership of the Lackies Lane cottage. They now enjoy at least a month every summer there with their daughters and their partners and hope to spend more time as they move toward retirement. As a family, they have participated in the GLCA Regattas and the Highland Yard on a yearly basis.
-

Norma Whitehead, Director at Large
Norma joined the Board in 2022 as a Director at Large. Upon hearing that the 100th Regatta, may be our last, Norma quickly stepped up and volunteered to take on the role of Regatta Commodore.
Norma has been coming up to Gull Lake since birth, enjoying summers with her siblings and cousins, 13 all together! Norma is hoping to help the continue the good works of the GLCA, so future generations can make their own wonderful Gull Lake memories.
